Slow Cooker Sausage With Mixed
Barbecue Beans
Pineapple helps add flavor to these beans,
along with barbecue sauce and other seasonings. Serve these beans with
cornbread or hot baked biscuits for an easy and budget-friendly family meal.
Ingredients:
Ā·
4 to 6 links chicken
sausage or other smoked sausage
Ā·
1/2 cup chopped onion
Ā·
1/3 cup ketchup
Ā·
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
Ā·
3 tablespoons brown sugar
Ā·
1 teaspoon chili powder
Ā·
1 teaspoon salt
Ā·
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Ā·
2 tablespoons prepared
mustard
Ā·
1 large can (28 ounces)
pork 'n beans
Ā·
1 can (approx. 16 ounces)
small red beans or black beans, drained, rinsed
Ā·
1 can (approx. 16 ounces)
pinto beans or great northern, drained, rinsed
Ā·
1 can (8 ounces) crushed
pineapple, undrained
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker insert. Cover
and cook on HIGH for an hour. Reduce heat to LOW and cook 3 to 5 hours on LOW
heat. Serves 4 to 6.
