Why?
I am still trying to understand how I can work at decluttering and cleaning a room for an entire afternoon, and it looks worse than when I started...I don't get it. So far I have accumulated 4.5 bags and a bird cage for donation...and yes, they are stacked in the room, swept the trash up that was created by a very destructive puppy...lots of chewed up and shredded items that have found their way to that room, took the ornaments off the tree and packed them away, moved said tree out of the window and into its corner for decorative storage...and still there are about a million jobs to do...
Next up on the list is to go through the boxes of paper back books (4 containers), sort which ones I want to keep and get rid of the rest...I also need to decide what to do with the all important beanie babies I just had to collect when they first came out...I can remember at the time they first came out, we just knew they were going to be worth a lot of money one day...I remember a lady collecting them with the intent to hang on to them for 10 years, sell them and put her children through college...I wonder what she ended up doing with them?
Anyway, this is how I spent my Sunday...hope you all had a better weekend! I have made a new goal for myself...my last donation on the 6th consisted of 8 bags and 5 boxes...my new goal for the 20th is to surpass that donation...I have already surpassed last years donations with these two, I just need to continue on with my quest of out with the old...in with Nothing!!! Although so far this motto is not working for me. If I give away an old DVD player...I get a new, but smaller model...it's a vicious cycle that really needs to end.
Oh my God...I am a hoarder!!! Maybe I do need that intervention!!!
On that note, I'm off to sort through some books...Happy Sunday all!
